Yorkshire pudding is a traditional British dish made from a batter of eggs, flour, and milk or water. It's typically baked in a hot oven, often alongside roast meats. When cooked, Yorkshire pudding puffs up and forms a light, airy texture with a crispy exterior. It is usually served as part of a Sunday roast, often with gravy poured into the center, making it a beloved accompaniment to meals in the UK. There are variations, including smaller individual puddings known as "yorkies," which can be served as a starter or side dish. The secret to a good Yorkshire pudding lies in using a hot pan and fat, which helps create that iconic rise and crispy edge.
